Soldering

If you attach the parts in order of height, you can solder them nicely.
Soldering is done in order from the lowest.
Then, let's solder it.

Resistor

I'm going to stick it from the lowest resistor.

It is similar to the 4.7k Ω "Yellow Purple Red Gold", so be careful when installing it.

IC

IC has polarity.
The indentation in U2 is to the left.
Attach the U3 with the ● mark facing upwards.

Ceramic capacitor

Install 10 pF on the C10.
It says 22 pf on the board, but as a result of the experiment, 10 pf was better, so I changed it.

The shape and color are the same as the 0.1 uF to be used later, so please be careful not to make a mistake.
Implement the part marked 103.

Pay attention to the display of 104 and wear it with a soldering iron.

Electrolytic capacitor

Electrolytic capacitors have polarity.
Install the white strip on the component in the same direction as the white mark on the board.
The board is designed so that the white mark is on the top or right side of the board to avoid mistakes.

Connectors

DC Jack

The board of the jack is assembled and soldered to the board.
The longer side of the pin header faces up.

Completion of the substrate

The board of the Famicom Video Output Modification Kit has been completed.
Thank you for your hard work.
Next, I will modify the main body of the Nintendo Famicom.

Previous model? Later model?

There are 2 types of Famicom that look the same but have different contents. The early model is the first model sold in the first half, and the Later model is the second model that meets the noise regulations. The remodeling methods differ between the first and second half.
You can see which is your Nintendo Famicom by reading this article.

If you were The early model, continue to this article.

If you were the later model, continue to this article.
